Home Reared Aberdeen Angus Beef
All the beef we sell in the shop is our own home reared Aberdeen Angus Beef produced and reared to finishing on the premises. At the farm we ensure that the highest welfare standards are met and the beef is Red Tractor Assured. We also pride ourselves on minimum food miles ensured by breeding out own animals, we know where our beef is from, do you?
The all our beef is hung for a minimum of 21 days this ensures all the beef is succulent and tender. Rearing our own beef allows us to increase the marbling effect on the animal ensuring that melt in the mouth experience when consuming.
Local Lancashire Lamb
The farm shop buys in lambs from the local farmers to ensure that its been reared in the county, again reducing the food miles travelled and ensure a flavoursome meat.
Local Gloucester Olde Sport Pork
In the butchers, we hand cure our own bacon and pork joints which we sell for cooking, or cook and use ourselves in the café and sell as sliced meats from our deli counter.
We make our own pork sausages in a variety of flavours on the premises, with apple and plain pork being the favourites and most popular throughout all ages.
Other Poultry
We offer a range of local chicken products and are able to get in a range of other poultry such as duck, goose capon etc. Please contact us for more information . At Christmas we also rear Bronze Turkeys (free range where possible) perfect for Christmas dinner. We choose to rear our own bronze turkeys as they always provide a tender moist and flavoursome meat and we can ensure that they have been kept and maintained at the highest welfare standard. Ensure to get your order in as these are one of our most popular products in the Christmas period.
Fresh Fish
Friday sees our visitor, Matthew from Neve & Son Seafood bringing with him a fresh supply of this seasons fish. We are also able to order in fish for you collect on other days and have a small selection of frozen fish available should that be more convenient for you.

The Butchers are also busy creating and making flavoured meat dishes to sell out from the butchery counter or use in the café. Some of the favourites are;
